Ancilliary-Skeleton Layout- Digipak Ideas

We created our digipak's on Indesgin on the college computers. We downloaded a template of a digipak, this was so we had an idea of what the layout was like before we started dismantling the template to replace the images and context with our own ideas.
We replaced the images with our own, before starting to experiment with different fonts.
The software we used to create our Digipak layouts were InDesign. I found the layout to be easy to use after having some instructions from my teacher. It was simple to upload the pictures on and i did find the font a bit difficult at first, but after a bit of experimenting and asking my teacher, i was able to find a few fonts which i liked.
When it comes to creating our layout for the Digipak, i think i will be using this software again instead of photoshop, as it also shows that i have used a wide range off different types of software.

This is what both my designs looked like on Indesgin. The Aqua lines where there to ensure that everything stayed within the box.

With this idea, I chose to take a picture of a swing set to symbolise the innocence and forgotten parts of youth. However the forgotten part is not shown though the image, but though the tinted colour of the image. Before i edited the picture in Paint shop, it was bright and colourful. But i wanted to make it more darker and dull, to symbolise that youth does not last forever. The font is quite complex compared two my second design. The monochrome feel to the digipak makes this design my least favourite out of the two. I feel out of these both, its much to complex for my theme and i think it is not eye catching enough.

My second design focus more on the adventurous and wild side to youth as seen with the sparkler. This image also connects well with an aspect we are going to have within our music video, which is some of the cast using sparklers. I prefer this design as it more brightly coloured which i think works well with youth today. Also I like the font on this one more, as it's quite simplistic compared to the other which is more complex. It's also more eye catching than the other design, and would have a more positive reaction from my target audience than the other design.

Main Task-Logo

The logo was created by Sinead.
How was it created: Sinead drew the three different frames for the gif on photoshop, she then coloured them each individually before putting all of the frames together to create the gif.
